Nathalie was admitted to the New Brunswick Bar in 1995 and has practiced extensively in the fields of civil litigation, administrative law and labour law. In recent years, she has developed significant expertise in malpractice defense work, providing valuable legal advice to executives and professionals – physicians, lawyers, engineers, accountants, and many more in the helping professions. If for whatever reason your career and livelihood is being threatened by a lawsuit, complaint or audit, Nathalie can provide you timely, expert legal advice, and guide the matter to a better resolution for all involved.
In the area of labour and employment law, Nathalie has assisted employers and employees alike with workplace issues such as harassment complaints and investigations, pension disputes and compensation to injured workers.
Education:
Nathalie completed a Bachelor of Arts at St. Thomas University, and was the recipient of the President’s Scholarship, as well as the Birk’s Medal for Leadership. She attended Law School at the University of New Brunswick, graduating in 1994. Nathalie is fluently bilingual and serves the clients of the firm in both official languages.
Professional Interests:
Nathalie is a champion of many civic organizations. She sits on the Board of Symphony New Brunswick, is a past Board member of Enterprise Saint John, and was the Chair of the Saint John Board of Trade in 2007-2008. Nathalie is the Chair of the Mental Health Tribunal for southern New Brunswick, and the Vice-Chair of the New Brunswick Health Council. She has lectured for the Canadian Defence Lawyers, the Canadian Bar Association, and has been an instructor for the N.B. Law Society Bar Admission program. Finally, she is also involved with Canadian Women in Communications, an organization that raises the profile of women working in the communications field through a number of initiatives, including internships and mentoring programs.
Outside Our Office…
Nathalie spends time with her husband and two daughters at their home along the Kennebecasis River. Family projects usually revolve around local charity fundraising initiatives. Perhaps Nathalie’s best-kept secret is also one of her passions - she is a classically trained pianist.
